|| अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर 14 दिवसीय डायलॉग मैराथन ||
प्रेरणा महिला समिति के तत्वावधान में 8 मार्च अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस का जश्न मनाने व हिंसा- भेदभाव मुक्त समाज के निर्माण हेतु 14 दिवसीय कार्यक्रम 'डायलॉग मैराथन' ( 24 फरवरी से 8 मार्च 2020) का आगाज़ जाजमऊ कानपुर में किया गया । लगातार 14 दिनों तक चलने वाले इस कार्यक्रम की थीम 'ईच फॉर इक्वल'( Each for Equal) है अर्थात समाज के उत्थान हेतु सभी की एक समान भागीदारी व दायित्वों का क्रियान्वयन | कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत बहिष्कृत समुदाय की महिलाओं के अधिकारों के साथ-साथ कानपुर की विभिन्न बस्तियां जो कि विषम परिस्थितियों से गुज़र रही हैं, उनके मुद्दों को उठाया जाएगा व समाधान हेतु रणनीति तैयार की जाएगी|
इस मौके पर प्रेरणा महिला समिति की प्रमुख काउंसलर सीमा पाण्डेय ने बताया कि 8 मार्च को मनाए जाने वाले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर सम्पूर्ण विश्व की महिलाएं देश, जात-पात, भाषा, राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक भेदभाव से परे एकजुट होकर इस दिन को मनाती हैं। साथ ही पुरुष वर्ग भी इस दिन को महिलाओं के सम्मान में समर्पित करता है।
भारत में बलात्कार के बढ़ते स्तर पर टिप्पणी करते हुए सीमा पांडे ने बताया, "आंकड़ों के अनुसार, हर 20 मिनट में भारत में एक महिला के साथ बलात्कार होता है। 2012 में, एक 23 वर्षीय छात्रा के साथ निर्मम बलात्कार और फिर हत्या के परिणामस्वरूप पूरे भारत में विरोध प्रदर्शन की लहर उठी। अभी हाल ही में पुनः निर्भया गैंगरेप और हत्या के दोषियों की फांसी की सजा को 3 मार्च तक बढ़ा कर न्यायिक प्रक्रिया में निरंतर देरी की जा रही है जिससे कि हम सभी देशवासी आहत हैं । ऐसे जघन्य अपराध को अंजाम देने वालों को जीने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है। यह दुखद है कि निर्भया मामले में दोषी कानूनी खामियों का इस्तेमाल करके मौत की सजा से बच रहे हैं। हमें अपने कानून में संशोधन करने की सख्त जरूरत है ताकि बलात्कार के मामलों में 6 महीने के भीतर फांसी हो जाए और ऐसे कृत्य करने वालों का व् उनका साथ देने वालों का सामाजिक बहिष्कार होना चाहिए|
प्रेरणा महिला समिति की मुख्य प्रशिक्षक स्वप्निल शुक्ला ने बताया कि "जब तक यह राष्ट्रवाद और राष्ट्रीय गौरव की समस्या नहीं बन जाती, तब तक हम कुछ भी बदलते नहीं देख पायेंगे । लड़्कियों के पहनावे को लेकर अक्सर सवाल उठते रहते हैं. यदि किसी लड़्की के कपड़े छोटे या तंग होते हैं तो उस पर समाज बड़ी आसानी से आरोप लगाने को तत्पर रहता है लेकिन जब किसी नवजात बच्ची से बलात्कार की घटनायें सामने आती हैं तब समाज का लड़्कियों के कपड़ों को उनके बलात्कार का कारण बताना खुद समाज की संकीर्ण मानसिकता पर तमाचे जैसा है|
समिति के कम्प्यूटर एडमिन अपूर्व मिश्रा ने बताया कि हमें एक साथ होकर लैंगिक समानता और महिला अधिकारों के लिए सतत व सार्थक प्रयास करने होंगे व उनके सशक्तिकरण के लिए हम सभी को दृढ़ निश्चयी होकर कार्य करने की आवश्यकता है |
प्रेरणा महिला समिति के जन सम्पर्क प्रमुख ऋषभ शुक्ला ने कहा कि एक औरत को अपनी अहमियत, अपनी जायज़ जगह के लिए आज भी संघर्ष क्यों करना पड़्ता है| एक पुरुष को जन्म देने वाली स्त्री स्वयं कैसे निर्बल, लाचार हो सकती है ? समाज की इस दोहरी मानसिकता में अब परिवर्तन लाना आवश्यक है| जब तक सख्त कानून का डर बड़े पैमाने पर जनता के सामने प्रदर्शित नहीं होता, तब तक समाज में बलात्कार जारी रहेंगे |
इस मौके पर प्रेरणा महिला समिति से प्रमुख रूप से सीमा पाण्डेय, स्वप्निल शुक्ला, अपूर्व मिश्रा, ऋषभ शुक्ला , आदि उपस्थित रहे ।
|14 Days Dialogue Marathon to celebrate International Women's Day |
Kanpur|| 24th February 2020. A 14-days program titled as 'Dialogue Marathon (24 February 2020 to 8 March 2020)' under the auspices of Prerna Mahila Samiti was launched on 24th February 2020 at Jajmau, Kanpur to celebrate International Women's Day and build a violence-free society. The theme of this program, which will be continued for 14 consecutive days, is 'Each for equal', that is, to encourage the equal participation and responsibilities of everyone for the upliftment of society.
"The issues related to the rights and entitlements of women belonging to excluded communities and the heterogeneous situations of various settlements of Kanpur will be raised in this program and strategies will be chalked out", stated by Seema Pandey, Head Counsellor of Prerna.
She further explained that International Women's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. International Women's Day first emerged from the activities of labour movements at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe.
Commenting on the rape culture in India, Seema Pandey explained, "according to statistics, a woman is raped in India every 20 minutes. A number of rape cases in India in the past few months have put a spotlight on the issue of gender-based attacks in the country. In 2012, the brutal rape and murder of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student grabbed international headlines and sparked embittered protests across India. The delay in justice by issuing fresh death warrants for March 3 against the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder convicts disappointed us. We are not very happy as this is the third time that death warrant has been issued. These convicts have no right to live. It saddens us that the convicts in Nirbhaya case are escaping death sentence by using legal loopholes. They should be immediately hanged. We are in dire need to amend our law so that in cases of rape, hanging takes place within 6 months.
“Unless this becomes a problem of nationalism and national pride, I don’t see anything changing,” said Swapnil Shukla, head Trainer of Prerna. “Society here devalues women systematically and makes them subhuman, and rape is the worst symptom of that. It does feel like the levels of depravity and cruelty in these crimes are increasing.”
Apurv Mishra, Admin of Prerna said that we must join hands and refuse to tolerate any offence against the struggle for gender equality and women's rights.
Mr Rishabh Shukla, PR Lead of Prerna said that In the past, my suggestion to pass a law legalizing “Castration” of offenders in lesser offences did not find favor with the law makers. Never too late to enact such a legislation to deter criminal undertaking such heinous crimes. After all, not only laws must act as deterrent, but also ensure their speedy investigation, trail, appeals and execution. Unless the ‘fear of the law’ is demonstrated to the public at large, rapes will continue to torment the society. It is high time that laws are made and executed to cater to the needs of cross section of people restoration of modicum of civility is impossible. Otherwise, it will be business as usual for the rapists on the ‘prowl’.
