Once upon a time, a king had six queens. The king married six women, but did not treat or love them equally. The first queen was very dear to the king and he loved to spend most of his time with this queen. He would keep this queen in the centre while making any important decisions He took utmost care of this queen out of love he had for her. The Second queen was the most beautiful woman and he always felt proud to have her as his wife. The Third queen was a very powerful woman. Whenever king would need any administrative assistance of hers or want to bully any one, he would use this queen’s skills and wit. The fourth queen was very very attractive, so king would take her along while he goes out for parties or to meet any important delegates from outside, to impress them. This queen was just a display piece for the king. The fifth queen was very thoughtful and sorted person. The king would only talk to her when he is in any trouble or needs an advice. The sixth queen, the king married was the one, with whom the king barely spoke for an hour in his entire life. He was least concerned about this queen. He didn’t even bother to ask her well-being at times.

The king was now old and bedridden for quite some time. He now knew, that he cannot survive for more than 4-5 hours, he was on the deathbed. He summons all of his queens near him. At the arrival of all the queens, he requested the queens to accompany him to his next life and come along to his afterlife. With all his love he looked at his first queen, and she immediately replied “I cannot come along. The King felt aghast, because this queen was his favourite and always gave most of his time, love, care and concerns for her. He then looked at the second queen, and she promptly responded by putting her head down in denial, The king just turned his eyes to the third queen and she said “You used me for battles, bullies and administration in the kingdom, so I will not accompany you, instead I will re-marry someone after 10-12 days of your death. The king was deeply shocked. With grin on his face and with most sympathetic eyes looked at the fourth queen, she said “oh king, you used me as a show piece for your own honour and pride for the entire life, I would not even wait for 10-12 days, I would get married again as soon as you die. I will be someone else’s. The king was terribly horrified. But still with a little hope he looked at the 5th queen. With lots of respect and concern she replied, I definitely recognise your love, care, and concern for me as your queen in this life, but for my next life, I don’t want to be yours. With no hopes now, the king looked at the sixth queen, whom he neither saw properly, nor spoke to her ever, or never even paid any attention to her concerns ever. The king had almost no expectation from this queen. The soft spoken sixth queen said “My lord, my king, even if you deny me to accompany you, I am still coming along, it is a humble request to take me along. The king had a shock this time too but, this was very emotional and tears ran through the eyes of the king.

The story definitely ends here, but the learning begins from here. The actual epithet begins now.

The first queen: is our body. We love our body and organs a lot. Most of our time is consumed in taking care of ourself (actually our body). While making any decisions of life and in our life, we definitely think about the comfort our body needs. We put forth the happiness and problems of our body (including, heart and mind) in the centre of everything we do. The fact is that the body never comes along after death.

The second queen: depicts beauty. We always take pride for what we look like or how do we look, but even that wouldn’t come along, post death.

The third queen: is the power or position that we enjoy. So, during our life we may have this as important attribute, but this too doesn’t come along after death. Mind well, that after 10-12 days of our death, our power and position is taken by someone else.

The fourth queen: portrays wealth. We use it for our décor, our show and display in personal, business and social life. Now pay attention, as soon as we die, our wealth, properties are inherited to someone immediately.

The fifth queen: represents close family and friends. Whenever we are in two minds, or in trouble, we remember them and they advise us too. But all of these advices and the advisers will last till our cremation. They would not be able to accompany us to the next birth.

Here comes the empress of all……

The sixth queen: Your own soul. Well! What did we do till date? Let us forget about all we did and for whom. Let us think about the queen who will accompany you to your next birth. Let us stop our sheer ignorance towards her and start giving her the most importance, love and care, she deserves.

Punya Saurabh:

“Oh Prabhu, oh lord Jineshwar dev, If the worth of meeting you, is the drop of my tears….

I will bring flood from my eyes, just like a monsoon of my eyes.”
