The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all.
Art activism can play a significant role in advancing the SDGs by raising awareness, inspiring action, and promoting change. Artistic expression has the power to engage people emotionally and intellectually, spark dialogue, and challenge the status quo. Here are some examples of how art activism can contribute to specific SDGs:
