World Organ Donation Day

World Organ Donation Day is observed on August 13 every year to spread awareness about the importance of organ donation and address and debunk myths related to donating organs. This day strives to encourage people to donate their healthy organs after death in order to save more lives. 

Most people can register to become organ donors, regardless of age. If a person is under 18 years of age, they require the consent of parents or adult guardian to donate organs.

A person might not be able to donate their organ if suffering from a few specific conditions.

People may not be able to donate organs after death if they are suffering from diseases like HIV, cancers that are actively spreading and some other serious infections.

While August 13 is World Organ Donation Day, India observes its National Organ Donation Day on November 27 every year.

We have already pledged to donate our eyes and whole Body to 'Yug Dadhichi Deh Daan Sansthan' to serve the purpose of medical education and scientific studies back in 2015 and got honored by the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh Mr Ram Naik.

The feeling of contributing something to society even after death is such a beautiful experience that is ineffable.

This World Organ Donation Day, take a step further towards organ/body donation, pledge to donate your organs/body today. This would be the noblest decision and priceless gift of humankind to serve humankind.

In case we are with any one of you when we cop it (Death), please call the whole body harvesting guys ASAP, a hospital for the rest .......
