40% women in India miss their daily routine because of severe period pain. #RedDotChallenge aims at promoting menstrual hygiene and inspire everyone to talk about periods candidly.
Swapnil Saundarya Label is supporting the #RedDot 🔴 campaign to normalise period pain talk for women. The campaign intends to generate widespread awareness around the discomfort caused by a period pain in the life of women and how it restricts them from reaching new heights in various walks of life.
Period pain is common and a normal part of menstrual cycle but even doctors have described period cramps to be as bad as having a heart attack. It is often downplayed or ignored. It leads to loss of working hours, productivity during work, and affects women in their daily activities. Women being the backbone of families, need to stay active and distressed to take care of their families. Today they are actively participating in nation building.
Worldwide studies have shown that period pains badly affect the majority of women’s productivity; be it at work or at home.
“Red dot campaign is an effort to change mindsets and educate society on the urgency to address menstrual cramps in the right manner. The campaign wants to challenge the belief that suffering from severe or normal period pain is something that women naturally deserve.

It’s in our subconscious that this topic is considered taboo. In many homes, the moment a sanitary napkin ad plays on the TV, either the channel is changed or the kids are distracted. It’s because this has been considered taboo for ages and this needs to stop.

Menstruation is a normal biological process of a Female's Body. The social taboo & orthodox thinking like keeping it hidden, not to visit temples, perform Pooja at home, enter Kitchen, etc. should stop.
