Age of the Celestial beings

How we wonder about the existence of celestial beings ....!!

Since childhood we had been listening to numerous mythological stories of Heaven. We have known about the King of Swarg (Heaven).

There are many surprising things that we may have never known and established, as we never have the time to unfold anything beyond our perceptions, understandings or imaginations. What we see in the television or whatever little words or history we gather from the gossips and talks, remains as unsorted mystery. We mostly ignore the inquisitiveness arising in us and satisfy ourselves with the stories moving around for million and billion years.

The existence of Heaven and Hell is accepted by all the religions, and which is associated with ‘Punya’ (a divine brownie point for some good deed) and ‘Paap’ (a Negative point for some bad deed). We all want to experience the Heaven and its opulence. As we have heard so far about Supernatural body, power, sex, longer life span, the magic etc., but we roughly have no clue to some imaginary idea about the heaven.

Indeed, the luxuries of heaven are enormous, and life of a Celestial being is in sheer joy and happiness (mostly, at least for the sake of material contentment).

Want to experience the heaven? 

How long could your stay be in the heaven? And what after that? The only way to go to heaven is eliminating Bad karmas and adoption of Good karmas without selfish motives behind. You can stay in the heaven depending upon the amount of Punya you earned, that can be spent for a stay. It is exactly, the same as we rent out a sumptuous suite in a 5- star and 7-star hotel, but we can only stay unto the limit of our pockets.... It is the same with heaven also. The stay is very expensive and the currency you should pay with is Punya (the virtuosity one accumulates from good deeds).

The minimum stay package is of 10,000 years (The same way as we lookout for a vacation packages of 6N 7D in a luxurious resort.. ) and maximum is bound to shock you, it is 33 Sagaropam years. 

What is Sagaropam??

Well, to learn the calculation of Sagaropam, we need to learn the actual meaning of time along with its value.

What is Time?

The changes in any living being and non-living substance /changes in its form from one to another is measured in units of time. Please bear in mind time is not the reason of any change, in fact things change with the passing of times. The smallest indivisible portion of time is called ‘Samaya’ and Combinations of such samayas into various multiples are known as Nanosecond, Moment, Second, Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Fortnight, Month, Year, Decades, Centuries and so on.

Now let us step forward to know about longevity

Innumerable Samayas = 1 Avali (a time consumed for a blink of an eye)

16,777,216 Avalis = 1 Muhurat (48 minutes)

30 Muhurats = 1 Day

15 days = 1 Paksha (fortnight)

2 paksh = 1 Month

12 months = 1 Year

5 years = 1 Yug

8.4 million years × 8.4 million years = 1 Purva (70,560,000,000,000 years)

Innumerable years = 1 Palyopam

Before we move any further on this topic, I really want to satiate your mind, knowing surprising things further, innumerable years with an example...

Example: Imagine a well that is 512 cubic miles, that is 512 miles of length, breadth, and depth.  Fill this well with the hairs of a new born baby (This is about the thickness of hair). The well has to be filled in so tightly that if a troop of infantrymen passes over it, they would not realise that it was not a road but was a well. Now, with every passing century you have to remove 1 hair from the well. As soon as the well is emptied and years it may take, would be known as Innumerable years this is known as 1 Palyopam.

Moving further,

10× 10,000,000 x 10,000,000 Palyopamas = 1 Sagaropam year

10 x 10,000,000 × 10,000,000 Sagaropam = 1 Avsarpini kaal

10 x 10,000,000 x 10,000,000 Sagaropam = 1 Utsarpini kaal

1 Avsarpini Kaal + 1 Utsarpini kaal = 1 Kaal chakra (1 Time Cycle)

Now, we have learnt an ounce about time and time-cycle. Let us come back to our subject of age limits of celestial beings and how long they enjoy the luxurious life.

There are numerous types and classifications of Celestial beings, better known as Devatas, Dev and Devis, they comprise of four types and their primary classifications are mentioned below:

1. The Palatial Beings (Bhavanvashi Devatas)

2. The Planetary Beings (Jyotishi Devatas)

3. The one living in Mountains, Oceans, Caves, Seas, Water Wells, Temples, etc. (Vyantar Devatas)

4. The ones living in their own planes (Vaimanik Devatas)

There are further sub-classifications to the above but right now I will provide you with a simple explanation. There are diverse functions and powers assigned to different devatas in accordance to their Karma. There are various Kings, Administrators, Security, Soldiers, Cleaners, Accountants, etc., in different Heavens. The soul taking birth in a heaven is a fully developed  male or female  and remains the same till his or her last day, there is no old age or child age here. The minimum age of any Devata is 10,000 years to a maximum of 33 Sagaropam years.

So, did your heart pulsate a bit differently for a while? This is just one element of all the powers and luxuries you can enjoy in the heaven. I am sure each one of us want to experience the heavenly luxuries which cannot be defined verbally.... just like the taste of sugar which cannot be described, yet it must be experienced. 

Well, I insist on accumulating lots of Good karmas, such that we can get to becoming King of the heaven or at least be a part of heaven.
