Swapnil Saundarya is celebrating World Environment Day
Since its beginning in 1974, World Environment Day has developed into a global platform for raising awareness and taking action on urgent issues from marine pollution and global warming to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. Millions of people have taken part over the years, helping drive change in our consumption habits as well as in national and international environmental policy.
With the motive to celebrate the World environment day and the closing ceremony of one month digital programme
'Awareness to Accountability for a better environment', we have invited professionals and Intellectuals from seven spheres of society to share their photographs, quotations and creative work that shows their love for mother nature. And we are overwhelmed to receive some of the most astonishing pictures and quotations that indulge people to think emotionally and seriously about Environmental protection.
At, Swapnil Saundarya Label, we believe that such awareness programmes are the savvier ways to encourage people to contribute their services for the betterment of our environment.
"Earth is healing now during this pandemic. Though a lot more of destruction will be done to mother Earth by the selfish humans. Every big mission is accomplished with a small effort. I being a teacher, have always made my children aware of saving the earth and protecting our environment through little things that they can do in their daily life. As for few examples....Discouraging use of plastic bags and using cloth bags (They have made cloth bags on their own and have used them), saving water, closing of taps, putting the left over water in their water bottle into a plant instead of throwing, not to waste food, switching off lights and fans when not in use, we have regular activity of planting trees. In a way I want to say the ventures starts with little things with awareness of saving Earth and protecting Environment in the new generation who will be the future caretaker of our Mother Earth."

"When I think about nature, the colour Green often comes to my mind, as the colour that depicts life. Yes! Green is the sign of new life. In the inner recess of my mind, I am taken back to my trip to south India where I witnessed how residents in the countryside lived in harmony with nature.
Right from rooftop water harvesting to bio degradable gas from household waste is something that mesmerizes me even today.
To understand how solar energy was used to generate electricity and hot water made me realise how natural energy surrounds us and we are unable to make the best out of it. In my opinion, southern India is a role model to other states of India and I am a wittness to it.
It's time that we infuse and adapt many features that the country lifestyle has to offer.
We can begin by segregating kitchen waste and producing bio waste for our terrace gardens. Coconut hair oil can be used as a good component to retain moisture in our potted plants as cocopeat retains moisture. We have to understand that it doesn't cost us much to go green. All it takes is a little bit of effort and alot of love for our environment."

"The construction industry being the 40% contributor for the global GHG emissions, Architects- the Creators can also be blamed for the current situation of the GHG emissions world wide. Architecture, in its widest sense, consumes energy, modifies environment & manipulates ecology. It seems that the energy issues should be of professional concerns to Architects, whose main goal is to improve the quality of life.
We, the Architects are also responsible to develop scientifically & mathematically based methods of design; climate responsive architecture, use natural and rapidly renewable resources for building materials, manage and reduce wastes. These are also some of the key solutions to improve the environmental impact and sustainability of the building.
Academicians can give major emphasis on Environment integrated architecture approach and encourage the aspiring architects to opt green building design strategies. I have provided Online training on 'Environmental Integrated Architecture' to around 150 students during this pandemic to enlighten them about how to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and the health and comfort of building occupants, to improve the building performance."

"We need to realise this very clearly that we have not inherited the Mother Nature from our ancestors, rather borrowed it from our children. So we need to act now, to make sure that the next generation must have access to the beautiful nature and its blessings and not just materials!
Moving from Aatmanirbhar Bharat to Atmanirbhar Green Bharat, is the need of the hour.
PM Modi Ji has rightly said that we need to become Self-Dependent. I believe that we should become Self-Dependent but in an eco-friendly manner."

"We should promote green building practices that include: Using sustainable building materials such as recycled glass and steel, as well as renewable materials such as bamboo and rubber. Installing energy-efficient windows and doors. Using lower-VOC (volatile organic compounds) paints and stains. Sustainable design seeks to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and the health and comfort of building occupants, thereby improving building performance. The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments."

"We all have our part to play. Making small changes in the way you do every day things can go a long way. But only when we all realize that we can all make a contribution. By contributing towards enviorment is one such step where we can play a pivot role in changing lives of million people. Its high time now we should realise the importance of our mother nature."

With every inch of the planet turning into global trash cans, where do we stand? Caught between the claws of vulgar progress, development and environmental abuse, there is no running away from the fact that environmental damage is as common as ignorance. It is no longer a nightmare of the future. As we slowly kill what keeps us alive, let’s hope that we can overcome this weakness and work together for a better world.
Every ending is always a new beginning. When something ends, something new begins. This is not the end of our one month digital program (started on dated 05th May 2020) to generate awareness and encourage accountability for environmental protection but a new beginning for our steps towards environmental protection with a strong strategy of solidarity…...
This is a positive beginning……which will give us 'life' with the outcome of its every phase.
A big thanks to all those contributors and media houses who took great interest and shared their ideas and creative work with us to help us making this unique and one of its kind program a huge success and impactful.
