Ayodhya 2.O | 500 Years of Struggle: Ram Mandir and the Epic Journey of Ramayana By Swapnil Saundarya

The saga of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir spans centuries, entwined with the rich tapestry of Hindu mythology, historical events, and a fervent struggle for the construction of a temple dedicated to Lord Ram. At the heart of this narrative lies the timeless epic, Ramayana, a profound tale of love, devotion, and righteousness.

Ramayana: A Brief Overview:
Ramayana, authored by the sage Valmiki, narrates the life of Lord Rama, an incarnation of the god Vishnu. The epic follows Rama's exile, the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana, and the subsequent quest to rescue her. Guided by principles of dharma, Rama, along with his loyal companion Hanuman, ultimately defeats Ravana, rescues Sita, and returns to Ayodhya to rule as king.

Meaning Behind Siya Ram:
Siya represents the virtuous and noble Sita, a symbol of unwavering devotion, resilience, and purity. Ram, the embodiment of righteousness and virtue, complements her in perfect harmony. Together, they epitomize the ideals of love, duty, and sacrifice.

Iconography of Ram and Sita:
The iconic representation of Lord Ram often portrays him with a bow and arrow, symbolizing his prowess as a warrior. Sita, his devoted consort, is depicted with grace and humility. Their images, whether in paintings or sculptures, embody ideals of virtue, duty, and familial love.
