तेरे झूठे वादों के सिवा मेरे पास कुछ भी नहीं,
इन अधूरे ख्वाबों के सिवा तेरा दिया कुछ भी नहीं,
टूटता ही रहा हर मोड़ पर दिल मेरा,
टूटे दिल के टुकड़ो के सिवा हासिल हमें कुछ भी नहीं,
हो रहे है दूर तुझसे इस सुकून के साथ,
तेरे करीब कोई और है मेरा रहा कुछ भी नहीं.

जैसे किसी के क़र्ज़ में डूबी हो ज़िन्दगी, ऐसे तमाम उम्र हमनें गुज़ारी है,
हासिल न कुछ हुआ हमें इस दर्द के सिवा, ताउम्र मोहब्बत हर शख्स पर हमनें लुटाई है,
रुस्वा किया हर शख्स ने हर मोड़ पर हमें, हम बावफ़ा थे पर वफ़ा हमनें न पायी है.

क़ुबूल हमें उनकी बेवफाई भी थी ,बशर्ते शिद्दत से निभाई होती,
उनके दिल का आना भी एक आदत हो गयी, न जाने अब किसकी बारी थी.

इश्क़ जब बेहिसाब सताता है, तब कहीं तारा मोहब्बत का झिलमिलाता है,
फलक तक कौन किसके साथ जाता है हमसफ़र रास्ते में ही छूट जाता है,
हमको आदत है रुसवाईयों की ऐ "पराग" बेइंतेहा इश्क़ भी हमको रास नहीं आता है,
मेरे जिस्म का हिस्सा ही मुझे दर्द से रूबरू कराता है, काँटा तो चुभता है और चुभके निकल जाता है.

वाक़िफ़ तेरी फितरत से हम पहली मुलाक़ात से ही थे,
मगर,
दिल की ख्वाहिश थी तेरे हाथों ही बर्बाद होना है.

उसने निगाह भर भी न देखा हमें ये उसका गुरूर था,
हमनें चाहा ही सिर्फ उसको, ये हमारा कुसूर था.

क्या खूब उस बेवफा की मोहब्बत का है असर,
के हश्र से हम अपने वाक़िफ़ भी है और अनजान भी.

न जाने इतना हुनर कहाँ से लाते हैं ,
ज़ख्म भी देते है ,मरहम भी लगाते हैं.
