भरतनाट्यम की श्रेष्ठ नृत्यकार नेहा मण्डल चक्रवर्ति 

नृ्त्य आत्मिक उल्लास एवं हर्ष को प्रकट करने का एक सहज , स्वाभाविक एवं बेमिसाल साधन है. आदि मानव को अपनी भूख मिटाने के लिए शिकार के पीछे काफी दौड़ने के बाद जब उसका शिकार प्राप्त हो जाता है तो वह आनंदमग्न होकर प्रसन्नता से नाचने लगता है . अत: आनंद की अभिव्यक्ति नृ्त्य को जन्म देती है. भारतीय मान्यता है कि नृ्त्य की उत्पत्ति भगवान शंकर से हुई . उन्होंने ही नृ्त्य की विभिन्न मुद्राओं का आविष्कार किया और तण्डु मुनि को नृ्त्य की शिक्षा दी .तण्डु  मुनि से भरत को और भरत ने अपने पुत्रों को नृ्त्य की शिक्षा दी. भरत के पुत्रों ने इस जगत में नृ्त्य का प्रचार किया . शिव का यह नृ्त्य ताण्डव नृ्त्य कहलाया . देवी पार्वती ने लास्य नृ्त्य की रचना की . ताण्डव नृ्त्य पुरुष प्रधान और लास्य नृ्त्य स्त्री प्रधान नृ्त्य है. भारत की प्रत्येक नृ्त्य शैली में ताण्डव और लास्य की छाया दिखाई पड़ती है.

नृ्त्य का इतिहास बहुत प्राचीन है. मोहनजोदड़ो और हड़प्पा की खुदाई में प्राप्त नृ्त्य करती हुई मूर्तियाँ इसकी प्राचीनता सिद्ध करती हैं. वेद, पुराण, रामायण , महाभारत आदि ग्रंथों में नृ्त्य का उल्लेख मिलता है. मौर्य और गुप्त काल में भी नृ्त्य का उल्लेख मिलता है. कौटिल्य ने तो नृ्त्यकार को इतना महत्व दिया है कि उसने एक स्थान पर लिखा है कि नृ्त्य के साधकों को राज्याश्रय मिलना चाहिये. राज्य की ओर से उनकी सब प्रकार की व्यवस्था करा देनी चाहिये जिससे कि वे नृ्त्य - साधना ठीक प्रकार से कर सकें.

भरतनाट्यम , आठ भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्यों में से एक है. यह केवल दक्षिण भारत ही नहीं अपितु उत्तर भारत में भी एक लोकप्रिय शास्त्रीय नृत्य है. इसका संबंध देवदासियों से रहा है और उन्हीं के कारण यह आज हमें अपने मूल रुप में प्राप्त हो चुका है .कहते हैं कि दक्षिण भारत , उत्तर भारत के असमान बाहरी आक्रमणों से सुरक्षित रहा . अत न तो वहाँ की संगीत पर बाहरी प्रभाव पड़ा और न ही इसे बदला गया .इसलिए भरतनाट्यम की प्राचीन प्रणाली अब भी देखने  को मिलती है. इस नृत्य में मुद्राओं का बाहुल्य है .इसमें बिखरी हुई कुछ कथा वस्तु भी मिलती है पर कथक के समान कथानक नहीं होता. इसमें नृत्यकार अकेले अथवा 3- 5 के समूह में नृत्य करता है.भरतनाट्यम नृत्य में मृदंगम से संगति की जाती है और साथ में कर्नाटकी गीत गाते हैं या वाद्यों पर कर्नाटक संगीत की धुनें बजाई जाती हैं. इस नृत्य को मोटे तौर से सात भागों में बाँटा जा सकता है, जिन्हें चरण कहते हैं.इसके क्रम का प्रकार निम्नलिखित है :-
1. अल्लारिपु
2. जेथीस्वरम
3.शब्दम
4.वर्णम
5.पदम
6.तिल्लाना
7.श्लोकम

इसके अतिरिक्त भरतनाट्यम नृत्य में पाँच आसन होते हैं :- पदम, सृष्टि , योग ,  वीर और सिद्ध्.  घुटने के मोड़ चार तरह के माने गए हैं :- मन्ड्ला , अर्धमन्डला, सममन्डला और नृत्तमन्डला. इसमें 3 पाद विक्षेप होते हैं :- अंचित, कुंचित , उर्धांचित व गति के चार प्रकार होते हैं करण, अंगहार ,रेचक और पिंडीवध .
भरतनाट्यम नृ्त्य के विशिष्ट क्षेत्र में जहाँ अनेकों नृ्त्यांगनाएं एवं नर्तक अपनी सफल भागीदारी दर्ज करा रहे हैं वहीं एक नाम , सूर्य के प्रकाश की भाँति उभर कर सामने आता है , जिन्होंने न केवल अपनी प्रतिभा के बल पर भरतनाट्यम नृ्त्य के रुप में भारतीय संस्कृ्ति की अनमोल विरासत को संजो कर रखा है बल्कि इसे विश्वस्तर पर बढ़ावा व प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए अनेकों कार्य भी किए हैं. हम बात कर रहे हैं, अद्वितीय प्रतिभा की धनी लोकप्रिय भरतनाट्यम नृ्त्यांगना ' नेहा मण्डल चक्रवर्ति ' ( Bharatanatyam  Dancer Neha  Mondal  Chakravarty ) की.

भारत में करीब 20 वर्षों तक अपने बेमिसाल नृत्य द्वारा अपनी प्रतिभा का लोहा मनवा चुकीं नेहा  ( Bharatanatyam  Dancer Neha  Mondal  Chakravarty )  ने अभी हाल ही में मलेशिया में अपनी नृत्य यात्रा का आरंभ किया और देखते ही देखते मलेशिया कला जगत में अब  उनका नाम किसी पहचान का मोहताज नहीं . क्वाला लमपुर में अपने अदभुत नृत्य से नेहा ने भरतनाट्यम नृत्य के क्षेत्र में अपनी अतुल्नीय दक्षता, निपुणता व योग्यता का परचम लहराया . उन्होंने भारतीय संस्कृति ,भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्य की चमक को देश् विदेश तक पहुँचाया .

भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना नेहा मण्डल चक्रवर्ति  ( Bharatanatyam  Dancer Neha  Mondal  Chakravarty ) कहती हैं,  " कला को मानव व ईश्वर के मध्य का एक सशक्त संबंध कहना अनुपयुक्त न होगा .मेरा मानना है कि हम सभी धरती पर एक खास मकसद, एक लक्ष्य के साथ जन्म लेते हैं और इसी को कर्म कहते हैं  और नृत्य मेरे लिए ,मेरे लक्ष्य प्राप्ति का ज़रिया है .नृत्य आपको एक नव ऊर्जा प्रदान करता है जिससे आपके जीवन में भावनात्मक, शारीरिक, मानसिक एवं आध्यात्मिक संतुलन व सामंजस्य कायम रहता है . आंतरिक सुख की खोज व भरतनाट्यम नृत्य के मधुरस व अमृत में डूब जाने का प्रयास करती हूँ जो मुझे सुखद अनुभूति प्रदान करता है ."

चेन्नई में स्थित प्रख्यात संस्थान कलाक्षेत्र फाउंडेशन ( Kalakshetra  Foundation )  से नृत्य में परास्नातक व प्रयाग संगीत समिति , इलाहाबाद ( Prayag Sangeet Samiti , Allahabad ) जैसे नामचीन संस्थान से संगीत प्रभाकर की उपाधि उत्तीर्ण कर चुकी नेहा ,एक बेहद प्रतिभासंपन्न ,आत्मविश्वास , लालित्य से परिपूर्ण, भावाभिव्यक्ति में निपुण नृ्त्यांगना हैं.  नृत्य के क्षेत्र में इनके अपार कौशल के लिए 2005 में इन्हें सी.सी.आर.टी. के Cultural Talent Search Scholar-ship Scheme  द्वारा स्कॉलरशिप प्रदान की गई. इसके साथ ही इन्हें 2006 में बतौर युवा कलाकार ,भारत सरकार द्वारा स्कॉलरशिप प्रदान की गई.

भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना नेहा मण्डल चक्रवर्ति ( Bharatanatyam  Dancer Neha  Mondal  Chakravarty )  को मिनिस्ट्री आफ इनफॉरमेशन एण्ड ब्रॉड्कास्टिंग ( Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ) द्वारा आर्टीस्ट की श्रेणी प्रदान की गई, जिसके जरिये नेहा ने एक वर्ष तक संपूर्ण भारत में भारतीय लोक नृत्य एवं आधुनिक नृत्य की अनेक प्रस्तुतियाँ दीं.

वेंकटेश्वर इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ( Venkateshwara International School  ), जी.डी.गोएंका स्कूल ( GD Goenka School ) , स्वरा कम्पूनिटि आर्ट्स सेंटर ( Swara Community Arts Centre  ) व सुगम कर्नाटिका ( Sugam Karnatica  ) जैसे प्रतिष्ठित व नामचीन संस्थानों में नेहा बतौर नृत्य प्रशिक्षक के रुप में अपनी सक्रिय भागीदारी दे रहीं हैं. भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना नेहा मण्डल चक्रवर्ति, ( Bharatanatyam  Dancer Neha  Mondal  Chakravarty )   कलाक्षेत्र द्वारा आयोजित विभिन्न नृत्य मेलों की रामायण श्रृंख्लाओं में अपनी नृत्य कला का प्रदर्शन करती हैं.

इसके अतिरिक्त भरतनाट्यम नृ्त्य को देश विदेश तक पहचान दिलाने में नेहा की भूमिका व योगदान सराहनीय है. इनके नृत्य में हाथों का संतुलित घुमाव , पद संचालन , अंग संचालन , मुद्राओं का बेमिसाल प्रदर्शन उनके अपार कौशल का परिचायक है . दर्शक गण उनके लाजवाब , सौंदर्यपरक भावों व अंदाज़ को देख इनकी नृत्य कला के सम्मोहन में बँधता चला जाता है. जिस खूबसूरती व सहजता के साथ अपने नृत्य में अंग संचालन, पाद विक्षेप , नेत्र एवं भौं संचालन का समावेश करती हैं , वह इनके नृत्य को अद्वितीय सौंदर्य से भर अत्यंत प्रभावशाली, अतुल्नीय व मनमोहक बनाता है .

Bharatanatyam Danseuse, Neha Mondal Chakravarty from India, is now, a familiar name in the Malaysian Arts Scene. Nine months back, she started her journey of dance in Malaysia and has achieved a lot of admiration for her dance, teaching technique and style. A post-graduate of Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai and having worked closely with Leela Samson, Neha is also a recipient of national scholarships to further her dance training. After having served for almost 20 years of dancing in India, being in Malaysia was home coming for her. To share her love for dance, she got herself associated with eminent artists here and continues to collaborate with them. With her experience of more than a decade in teaching, performing and choreography, Neha is proud to be associated with Swara Community Arts Center

Achievements


-Awarded Scholarship in bharatnatyam in the year 1995 under CCRT’s “Cultural Talent Search Scholar-ship Scheme”

-Awarded scholarship to young artist’ by the Government of India in Bharatnatyam in the year 2006

-Performed broadly with kalakshetra’s (Rukmini devi college of fine arts) dance troupe and also took part in the major dance festivals and dance dramas like the RAMAYANA SERIES.

-Recognized as an A-grade artist and worked in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for a period of one year. During this period, given a no. of Indian folk and contemporary performances throughout India.

-Received scholarship to learn and teach Jazz by ‘THE DANCEWORX’ under the guidance of Mr. Ashley Lobo.
